How to use Page Numbers PDF
- 1. Upload your PDF. We'll read the page count automatically.
- 2. Pick position & format. Top or bottom, left/center/right. Choose just '1' or 'Page 1 of N'.
- 3. Tweak font size & margin. Live values for both. Defaults work well for most documents.
- 4. Apply & download. Numbers are stamped onto every page. The original file is untouched.
FAQ
Can I start numbering from a different number?
Yes — set 'Start at' to whatever you need. Useful for chapter-by-chapter PDFs or skipping a cover page.
Is the original PDF modified?
No. We always create a new file (downloaded as 'numbered-yourfile.pdf'). The original on your device stays untouched.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Stamping runs entirely in your browser — the PDF never leaves your device.
Can I skip the first page (e.g. a cover)?
Not yet — page numbers go on every page. We'll add a 'skip first N pages' option in a future update.
