One PDF · up to 50 MB
Works on text-based PDFs. Scanned/image-only PDFs return little or nothing — those need OCR (a future tool). All extraction runs in your browser.

FAQ
Does this work on scanned PDFs?
No. Scanned PDFs are images of text — they need OCR (optical character recognition) to extract anything. Standard text PDFs (from Word/Pages/LaTeX) work perfectly.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Extraction uses Mozilla's PDF.js running entirely in your browser.
Will the output preserve formatting?
Mostly no — we extract plain text, dropping fonts, columns, and tables. The output is one clean stream of words per page.
Does this work on encrypted PDFs?
No. Unlock the PDF first with its password, then upload the unlocked version.
