FAQ
Which barcode format should I use?
Code 128 is the most versatile and supports letters + numbers. EAN-13 and UPC-A are standard for retail products. Code 39 is common in logistics. ITF-14 is used on shipping cartons.
Why am I getting an "invalid value" error?
Each format has strict rules — EAN-13 needs exactly 13 digits (or 12 + auto check digit), UPC needs 12, Pharmacode accepts only numbers 3–131070. Switch to Code 128 if you want to encode any text.
Are the generated barcodes scannable?
Yes. The barcodes follow ISO standards and scan with any barcode reader. Make sure there's enough contrast between the line color and background.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Barcodes are generated entirely in your browser using JsBarcode. Nothing leaves your device.
