Is this tool free?
Yes, it's completely free. The geolocation data comes from ipapi.co's public API.
How accurate is IP geolocation?
City-level accuracy is typically within 50 km. Country and region are almost always correct.
Does this work for IPv6 addresses?
Yes, the API supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. The lookup is made directly from your browser to the API. We don't log or store any queries.
Why does my IP show a different city?
Your ISP may route traffic through a hub in another city. VPNs and proxies will also change the reported location.
