FAQ
Does this upload my file?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
How strong should my password be?
Use at least 8 characters with a mix of upper/lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. The strength indicator will guide you.
Can I remove the password later?
Yes — use our PDF Unlock tool. You'll need to know the password to remove it.
What encryption standard is used?
Browser-based PDF encryption is currently limited. Full AES-256 encryption requires server-side processing, which is coming soon.
Is there a file size limit?
We allow files up to 50 MB. The practical limit depends on your browser's available memory.
